LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Ascent Resources PLC fell in early trade, dropping 3-1/2 pence to 13 pence, as it said it has yet to find hydrocarbons at its Anagni-1 well in the Frosinone exploration permit in the Latina Valley, onshore Italy. However, the AIM-listed oil and gas exploration and production company said it will continue testing the well until it gets a conclusive result.Managing director Jeremy Eng said: 'The results of this well are very important for hydrocarbon exploration in this region and represent the first stage of the exploration of a new reservoir system in the Frosinone exploration permit area.'tf.TFN-Europe_newsdesk@thomson.comhmb/slmCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
