Chrysler aims to lift number of German dealerships by at least 5 pct in 2 yrs

FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - Chrysler aims to increase the number of its German dealerships by at least 5 pct in two years, the US car maker's head of international sales Thomas Hausch told Financial Times Deutschland.

The company also aims to expand its sales networks in Italy, Russia and China, he added.

Chrysler posted a 3 pct gain in unit sales in Germany last year, while the size of the German market shrank by 9 pct, Hausch was also quoted as saying.
