LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Oilex Ltd said the Sarha-1 well, the first of the three exploration wells in the the Block 56 Production Sharing Contract Area in the Sultanate of Oman, is drilling ahead to the casing point near the top of the Natih Formation.Drilling operations are planned to take 18 days from spud and total depth is expected to be reached at a depth of about 1650 metres, Oilex said.Delays in procuring certain essential equipment and rigging up the newly built rig by the contractor have led to postponement of the spud date for Cambay-23Z, the first well in the nine-month program, the company said. The company expects to start spudding the Cambay-23Z well within the next three to six weeks.TFN.newsdesk@thomson.comjjo/bsu/jagCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
