SYDNEY (Thomson Financial) - Conergy AG's unit Epuron has joined with Macquarie Bank to build a 2.5 bln aud wind farm near Broken Hill, Australia, the Sydney Morning Herald said, citing Epuron chairman Rob Sauer.Under the joint venture, Epuron and Macquarie will each take a 50 pct stake in the project, which will create Australia's largest wind park.The wind park will comprise as many as 500 turbines generating about 1,000 MW of electricity and could be operational by late 2009, the newspaper said.maria.sheahan@thomson.commas/ejbCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
