Bayer's HealthCare unit confirms FY pre-ex EBITDA margin to exceed 25 pct |

SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Bayer AG affirmed its goal of reaching pre-exceptional EBITDA margin at its HealthCare division of more than 25 pct in 2007, saying also it aims to lift the margin to 'around' 28 pct in 2009.The division's 'strong performance continued' in 2007 and it is 'on track' to reach its financial and operational targets, the unit's head Arthur Higgins told investors at a conference in San Francisco yesterday, according to slides posted on the company's Web site.In November Bayer lifted the 2007 pre-exceptional EBITDA margin guidance for the division, whose products range from the Aspirin painkiller to blood-clotting drug Kogenate and the Betaferon multiple sclerosis injection, to more than 25 pct, up from a previous goal of 25 pct.ludwig.burger@thomson.comlb/mas/salCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
