HELSINKI (Thomson Financial) - Retailer Stockmann said group sales rose 52 pct in December year-on-year to 263 mln eur, boosted by new selling space and 'good' like-for-like sales growth abroad.Home shopping unit Hobby Hall registered the biggest rise in sales during the month, recording 34 pct jump due to a new Christmas Campaign and the introduction of the ERP system.Lindex, which Stockmann got the control of on Dec 5, recorded 70 mln eur sales during the period from Dec 6 till Dec 31.In Finland, sales at the group's core Stockmann department stores rose 10 pct in December, while Seppala, the fashion chain, recorded a rise of 9 pct.For the full-year 2007, the group's sales amounted to 1.670 bln eur, a 13 pct year-on-year growth.azer.sawiris@thomson.comafs/lamCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
