ANAHEIM, Calif. (AFX) - Willdan Group Inc., which provides outsourced civil engineering and disaster preparedness services to public agencies, said Friday Win Westfall has retired as chief executive and president.Westfall, 73, will continue as chairman of the board.The company also said it named director W. Tracy Lenocker, 61, as interim CEO. Willdan's board has retained executive search firm Morgan Samuels to conduct a CEO search. Lenocker resigned from the board in connection with his appointment as interim CEO.Lenocker served as a member of the board periodically since the 1980s and continuously since 1997. He is currently president and principal of Civilsoft, which provides civil engineering and geographic information systems worldwide. He also founded Lenocker & Associates in 1995, which provides GIS services to public agencies.Richard Kopecky, 66, stepped down as president and CEO of the company's Willdan unit, and will be replaced by an internal candidate as soon as possible. The company said Westfall will serve as interim CEO of the unit until a successor is named.Kopecky will remain in the organization in an active project management role, the company said.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
