CORONA, Calif. (AFX) - Soda and juice maker Hansen Natural Corp. on Friday said it expanded its distribution agreement with brewer Anheuser-Busch.Hansen agreed to allow Anheuser-Busch Inc. to manage and coordinate sales, distribution and merchandising of its Monster energy drinks to on-site retailers, which include bars, nightclubs and restaurants in territories approved by Hansen.Financial terms were not disclosed.Some Anheuser-Busch wholesalers already distribute Monster drinks, including Energy, Lost Energy and Unbound, as well as the Rumba energy juice, to off-site accounts in some U.S. markets per a 2006 agreement. The new agreement allows Anheuser-Busch wholesalers to sell Monster on-site.Shares closed Thursday at $37.06 on the Nasdaq, and rose $1.65, or 4.5 percent, to $38.71 in pre-market trading.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
