Metro International ends operations in Poland |

WARSAW - Swedish newspaper group Metro International AB said it has ended its operations in Poland owing to losses.In a statement, Metro said that the last edition of free newspaper Metropol, which was published in 10 cities including Warsaw, was published Jan 5.Metro Poland employs 70 people and last year made EBIT losses of 3.7 mln usd.newsdesk@afxnews.comafp/vbCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
