VT Group says US unit wins 100 mln usd communications contract extension

LONDON (AFX) - VT Group PLC said its US subsidiary, VT Milcom, has won a contract extension worth 100 mln usd to upgrade the communications infrastructure of the Space and Naval Warfare Center (SPAWAR) in Charleston.

The contract confirms the second year of a potential five-year contract at SPAWAR which is likely to be worth 577 mln usd, VT said in a statement.
