AMSTERDAM (Thomson Financial) - Corporate Express said it has set up a permanent office in Hong Kong and a representative office in mainland China to facilitate direct sourcing of office products from Asian manufacturers.The Dutch office supplies company said a substantial proportion of its privately branded products will be handled through its new local sourcing organisation.The Hong Kong office and the representative office in Shenzhen, China, started operations on July 1 and will be fully staffed by August 2007.The local management team will be responsible for product development, merchandising, supply chain management and quality assurance and control including social responsibility measurements at local production facilities.Aaron Gray-Block; aaron.gray-block@thomson.comagb/jfrCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
