Forex management agency China Investment Co to start ops this week - report |

BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - China Investment Co Ltd, the new state foreign exchange management agency, is expected to begin operations this week, the official China Securities Journal reported, citing sources close to the matter.The report said the senior management of the agency will include Lou Jiwei, Gao Xiqing, Zhang Hongli, Xie Ping and Hu Zuliu.Lou is currently a vice secretary of China's State Council, or cabinet; Gao is the vice chairman of the National Council for the Social Security Fund; Zhang is a vice finance minister, Xie is the general manager of Central Huijin Investment Co and Hu is a Goldman Sachs managing director.Earlier, China's finance ministry issued 600 bln yuan worth of special bonds to fund the operations of China Investment Co.susan.wang@xfn.com-xfaws/xfntmCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
