PowerFilm H1 net income above view at 1.25 mln usd; sees sales, profit in line |

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Solar panel maker PowerFilm Inc said its first-half net income exceeded its expectations due to an exceptionally favourable mix of product sales.The company posted a net income of 1.25 mln usd for the six months to June 30 from 0.14 mln usd earlier as its revenue more than doubled to 5.32 mln usd from 2.37 mln usd reported in the year-ago period.PowerFilm said it expects revenue and profits to continue to grow in line with current market expectations, as additional production capacity comes online through 2007 and beyond.It said its financial outlook for the second half is to at least maintain the revenue pace it established in the first half, and that it expects to meet current market expectations.The company also expects gross margins for the second half to be in line with analyst expectations.TFN.newsdesk@thomson.comssr/ejpCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
