OM Group adds board member

CLEVELAND - OM Group Inc. said Tuesday that David L. Pugh has been named as the sixth member of the metal-based specialty chemicals producer's board of directors.

Pugh, 58, is chairman and chief executive of industrial products distributor Applied Industrial Technologies Inc. He has been chairman of Applied Industrial since October 2000 and CEO since January 2000.

Pugh is also a member of the boards of aerospace supplier Hexcel Corp., and of R.W. Beckett Oil Burner, a private company.

Shares of OM Group added 12 cents to close at $44.41 on the New York Stock Exchange.
