TOKYO (XFN-ASIA) - Japan Airlines Co Ltd (JAL) is considering cutting its 53,000-strong work force by 3,000 during the three years ending March 2010 as part of its broader effort to restore profitability, the company said.A spokesman for the airline said it may introduce an early retirement program to meet the staff reduction target.JAL's executive board will decide on the staff reduction on Feb 6, when the company is scheduled to release its broader business plan, the spokesman said.(1 usd = 119.35 yen)yumiko.nishitani@xfn.com
