BANGALORE, India (XFN-ASIA) - India successfully launched into space today a rocket carrying a capsule recovery experiment to prepare for future manned missions, a spokesman for the Indian Space Research Organisation said.The launch took place from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh state, ISRO spokesman S.Krishnamurthy said.The 44 meter Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle is carrying four payloads, including India's indigenous 680 kilogram remote sensing satellite named CARTOSAT-2, he said.The other payloads include an Indonesian earth observation satellite and a satellite from Argentina.afp
