TAIPEI (XFN-ASIA) - Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd (2330.TW) said it posted consolidated sales of 22.87 bln twd in December, down 8.7 pct from 25.06 bln recorded in November.Consolidated sales totaled 317.47 bln twd for the full year, the world's largest wafer foundry said.Parent-level sales for December came in at 22.38 bln twd, down from 24.71 bln achieved in November and down 18.4 pct from a year earlier.For the full year 2006, parent sales rose 18.6 pct to 313.88 bln twd, it said.For the fourth quarter to December, consolidated sales stood at 74.96 bln twd against 82.48 bln twd recorded in the third quarter.The fourth-quarter figure compares with TSMC's projection of 74-76 bln twd made in October.In today's trade, TSMC closed down 1.80 twd at 64.20.(1 usd = 32.70 twd)philip.wang@afxasia.comal/pw/rc
