AMSTERDAM - Market data at 10.01 am:

MAJOR INDICES

AEX 492.33, down 3.54 points

AMX Midcap 682.98, down 0.88 points

Government bonds flat to higher

MAJOR GAINERS

-Heineken rose 0.58 pct to 36.13 eur following a price target hike at ING

-Rodamco Europe put on 0.25 pct to 100 eur, BAM rose 1.78 pct to 15.45 eur, Heijmans put on 0.19 pct to 41.58 eur, VastNed Retail gained 0.82 pct to 74.15 eur, Corio added 0.50 pct to 60.75 eur and Wereldhave edged up 0.20 pct to 102.70 eur after reports that property and real estate-related companies could become interesting takeover targets following reforms of fiscal laws enacted on January 1

MAJOR DECLINERS

-Philips shed 0.74 pct to 28.30 eur after TSMC, in which Philips has a 16 pct stake, reported a sharp drop in sales

-Akzo Nobel dropped 0.88 pct to 47.54 eur with investors shrugging off news that Akzo Nobel's Organon is entering a research collaboration with the Dutch Academic Medical Centre

-Financials lost. Fortis shed 0.92 pct to 32.39 eur, Aegon dropped 0.59 pct to 15.11 eur, ABN Amro lost 0.78 pct to 24.15 and ING lost 1.01 pct to 33.43 eur.
