HONG KONG (XFN-ASIA) - Societe Generale announced a reorganization of its corporate & investment banking business in Asia, creating three divisions under its 'Step Up 2010 project'.The new groups are an issuer-focused capital raising and finance division; a fixed income, currencies and commodities division; and a global equities and derivatives division, it said.The corporates, institutions and advisory division will continue to coordinate client coverage as well as mergers and acquisitions, it said.The Asia-Pacific corporate & investment banking operation will continue to be headed by Michael Macagno, with the business split into three separate regions - Asia ex Japan, Japan, and Australia.afp/km
