Apollo Group buys Insight Schools

PHOENIX (AFX) - Apollo Group Inc., a for-profit education company, said Wednesday it acquired Insight Schools, a provider of online high-school education.

Terms of the acquisition weren't disclosed.

Insight Schools works with local communities and school districts to operate their schools.

Apollo said it bought the Portland, Ore.-based company in October.

Apollo Group provides educational programs and services at 100 campuses and 159 learning centers.
