Amper announces 43 mln eur systems contract with Swiss Army |

MADRID (AFX) - Amper SA said it has signed a contract worth 43 mln eur to supply command and control communication systems to the Swiss Army.In a statement, Amper said the contract will run until 2010 and is an extension of a previous contract with the army that was signed in 2004 and held by its Amper Programas unit.The contract was signed on Dec 22 and includes simulation tools, communication systems and war game formation tools, the company said.During a news conference to announce the contract, Amper Programas managing director Rafael Posada said the company is currently in negotiations with the United Arab Emirates, along with three other countries, to supply similar systems.No further details of the negotiations were revealed.afxmadrid@afxnews.comped/jdy/wjCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
