Greek shares close higher, outperforming European bourses

ATHENS (Thomson Financial) - Shares closed slightly higher, outperforming European bourses, in light, featureless trading following the long Easter weekend, dealers said.

The ASE general index closed 0.9 pct higher at 4,736.2 while blue caps finished 0.8 pct higher at 2,532.3.

Mid-caps gained 0.6 pct at 5,998.4 and small caps edged 0.2 pct higher to 907.6.

Advancers outnumbered decliners 127 to 112, while 78 remained unchanged.
