TAIPEI (XFN-ASIA) - Personal computer company Acer Inc is suing a three Taiwan contract manufacturers in a US court in an effort to make them jointly answerable for Hewlett-Packard Co's patent infringement suit against Acer, the Commercial Times reported.The newspaper quoted an identified official of Acer as saying Acer is suing Hon Hai Precision Industry Co Ltd, Quanta Computer Inc and Wistron Corp (3231.TW).However, this action is unlikely to adversely affect the partnership between Acer and these contract manufacturers, the official was quoted as saying.philip.wang@afxasia.com
