LONDON (Thomson Financial) - PolyFuel Inc said the US Department of Energy (DOE) has are stored' 2 mln usd in programme funding to the company for development of portable fuel cells.The fuel cell membrane manufacturer said the original three-year 3 mln usd grant, awarded in late 2004, was temporarily suspended in early 2006 due to US budgetary constraints after about 1 mln usd had been funded.The programme is designed to encourage the development of next-generation mobile fuel cell power supplies, the company said.TFN.newsdesk@thomson.comkal/slmCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
