ZURICH (Thomson Financial) - Roche Holding AG said it filed a lawsuit against Israeli drug maker Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Inc over the alleged violation of its patent on osteoporosis treatment Boniva.A spokeswoman for Roche said the lawsuit aims to prevent Teva from marketing a generic version of the drug's 150 mg tablets.The basic Boniva patent is valid through to 2012, with further patents protecting the drug until 2023, she said.Boniva recorded sales of 374 mln sfr during the first half of this year, Roche said.andrew.ge.thompson@thomson.comat/vs/ejpCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
