VIENNA (Thomson Financial) - OPEC's secretary general Abdullah al-Badri said the cartel has almost reached a consensus on output quotas and that there are no major disagreements between members.'There is no argument, no quarrels, everything is quiet ... it will all be over today,' he said. His comments came as most other OPEC members, save for some Gulf states, told journalists ahead of today's meeting they were not in favour of an output hike. However, there remains a fair chance these members will not hold sway at the meeting, as speculation is still rife that top producer Saudi Arabia is in favour of a small hike. Also, some Gulf states like Kuwait have actually said they believe there will be a 'positive' outcome to the meeting as OPEC realises the market is tight.anealla.safdar@thomson.comhar/slmCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
