MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Prysmian SpA said its net profits in the first half of the year rose 97.5 pct on the year to 150 mln eur.Revenues in the period rose to 2.583 bln eur from 2.417 bln in the same period last year.EBITDA in the first six months rose 53.9 pct to 299 mln eur, benefiting from a one-off positive item of 30 mln, while EBIT rose 86.7 pct to 266 mln.Prysmian said it expects adjusted EBITDA, stripping out charges and one-off extraordinary income, to 'significantly' top 500 mln eur for the full year.Operating cash flow in the first six months came in at 74 mln eur, down 28 mln on the same period last year.Debt at the end of June stood at 908 mln eur from 952 mln in June last year.stephen.jewkes@thomson.comsj/ejpCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
