PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Lagardere said it will acquire Swedish sports rights firm International Events and Communication in Sports (IEC), which markets 225 European, US and Asian sporting events as agent and rights holder.IEC had sales of 17 mln eur in the fiscal year ended last Aug 31, and expects strong growth in both sales and EBIT in the current fiscal year.tfn.paris@thomson.commjs/ejbCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
