Air Wisconsin's May traffic falls |

APPLETON, Wis. (AP) - Privately held Air Wisconsin Airlines Corp. said Monday its May traffic fell 6.8 percent, as capacity shrank by 2.6 percent.The carrier, which flies regional service for US Airways, said traffic dropped to 196.3 million revenue passenger miles from 210.6 million in last year's May. A revenue passenger mile is an industry unit measuring one paying passenger flown one mile.Capacity shrank to 267.8 million available seat miles from 275.1 million, while occupancy declined to 73.3 percent from 76.6 percent.So far this year, traffic has fallen 9.6 percent to 857.2 million revenue passenger miles, as capacity has shrunk by 7.1 percent to 1.25 billion available seat miles.
