Nestle to name next chief executive in Sept - CEO Peter Brabeck

VEVEY, Switzerland (AFX) - Nestle SA will name its next chief executive in September 2007, Peter Brabeck, who currently holds the dual role of CEO and chief executive, said on the sidelines of the food company's annual media presentation in Vevey, Switzerland.

Brabeck had earlier announced that he wants to step down as chief executive at the 2008 general meeting and focus on his role as chairman of the board.

Current Nestle CFO Paul Polman has been tipped as a likely successor.
