GM says hit all-time quarterly sales record in LatAm, Africa and the Middle East

MIRAMAR, USA (Thomson Financial) - General Motors says it has hit an all-time quarterly sales record in its Latin America, Africa & Middle East region for the second quarter, selling over 293,000 vehicles, up 48,300 units over the same period last year.

During the quarter, sales in Latin American countries climbed 28.9 pct to over 216,000 vehicles, and throughout the Latin America, Africa & Middle East region the company set all-time sales records in Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Egypt.
