Dell completes ASAP Software acquisition

ROUND ROCK, Texas (AP) - Dell Inc. said Monday it completed its approximately $340 million acquisition of ASAP Software from Corporate Express N.V.

The computer maker agreed to the transaction in August, saying it wanted to bolster its software business.

ASAP Software, based in Buffalo Grove, Ill., provides information-technology services to corporations and government organizations. The company also has a subsidiary, License Technologies Group, which provides licensing and e-commerce services for software publishers.
