SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica S.A. said Monday that NAS Air of Saudi Arabia has entered a contract to buy five Embraer 190 E-Jets, with options for another five.The contract also includes purchase rights for 12 more aircraft of the same model, the Brazilian aerospace firm said.The total value of the deal is $172.5 million at list prices and could reach $759 million if all options and purchase rights are confirmed, Embraer said.NAS Air has also signed a separate agreement with GE Commercial Aviation Services to operate another three Embraer 190s and two Embraer 195s under a leasing contract, the company noted.Embraer shares were up $2.4% to $47.39.Katherine Huntkh/jwCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
