India's Reliance Energy wins 37.25 bln rupees order from Damodar Valley Corp |

MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - Indian power utility company Reliance Energy Ltd said it has won an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth over 37.25 bln rupees from Damodar Valley Corp.The company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange that it will set up two 600 mw coal-based power stations at Raghunathpur in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal.Reliance Energy said its EPC group currently has orders on hand for execution totaling over 100 bln rupees.At 07.30 am, Reliance Energy shares were trading 0.070 pct up at 1949.50 rupees on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the overall market was down 0.22 pct at 20,247.12 points.tfn.newsdesk@thomson.comndi/man/lhtCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
