LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Zambezi Resources Ltd said drill results at the CC02 prospect of its Cheowa copper-gold project in southern Zambia continue to demonstrate the prospect's potential. The AIM-listed company said it is still awaiting assay test results for a substantial proportion of this drilling, which will determine the amount of valuable metal contained at the tested site.It said a revised resource estimate incorporating assay results received to Nov 30 from CC02 has been completed. This comprises an indicated resource of 2.9 mln tonnes at 1.05 pct copper and 0.22 grammes/tonne gold. The current drilling program is targeted to keep the pre-feasibility study on track for completion in the second quarter of 2008, Zambezi added.TFN.newsdesk@thomson.comkal/jagCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
