NEW YORK (AP) - NBCSports.com and Sports Illustrated's Web site have agreed to share video programming, news articles and commentary, broadening the scope of their online content in an effort to attract more visitors and advertising dollars.SI.com will place links to NBC Sports highlights and Web-produced video segments, while NBCSports.com will carry links to SI.com photographs, news and feature articles, the companies said Monday.'This agreement combines our strength in video production with SI's expertise in photography and editorial,' said NBCSports.com spokesman Brian Walker.Visitors to SI.com who click on an NBC video link will be taken to NBCSports.com's site, Walker said.NBC's sports Web site said it also will produce daily video segments with SI.com writers discussing sports issues. Walker said the companies will announce the names of the participating writers 'in the coming weeks.'NBC Sports holds rights to the NFL's Sunday night football broadcast, some golf tournaments and all Notre Dame home college football games. It also broadcasts the Olympics, but Walker said video from the Games is excluded from the deal.NBCSports.com, which was a section on the MSNBC Web site until last September, produces pre-game and post-game videos, and provides video highlights from NBC broadcasts.The site ranked 34th among sports Web sites in February with 428,000 unique visitors, according to comScore Networks Inc.'s Media Metrix. NBC's last NFL broadcast was in January.SI.com was seventh in the February rankings with 5.5 million visitors. ESPN.com, a unit of Walt Disney Co., is the most popular sports Web site, with 15.2 million unique visitors, followed by Fox Sports.Sports Illustrated is owned by media conglomerate Time Warner Inc.
