BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - China will increase crude oil imports from Saudi Arabia by 44,000 barrels per day in 2007, up 9 pct, the commerce ministry's research institute said.The institute gave no absolute figure for Saudi overall imports but added that Saudi Arabia may become China's top crude supplier in 2007.According to OPEC, Saudi Arabia in August regained its position as top crude exporter to China. Angola had ben number one since February.The organization estimates Saudi Arabia's share of China's nearly three mln barrels a day of crude at 17.5 pct in September. Iran, Angola and Russian had shares of roughly 12 pct each.kelly.zang@xfn.com
