Peugeot denies considering Russian assembly plant with Mitsubishi

PARIS (AFX) - PSA Peugeot Citroen denied a report in the Japanese business daily Nikkei that it is considering the construction of an automobile assembly plant in Russia in conjunction with Mitsubishi Motors.

A spokesman said Peugeot has had the intention to get involved in Russia and is still exploring options for that. 'We have a partnership with Mitsubishi, like with others, but there is no project in Russia with them,' he said.
