PRAGUE, Czech Republic (AFX) - Czech busmaker Iveco Czech Republic AS said Friday its sales went up almost 30 percent last year.Iveco Czech sold about 2,400 buses in 2006 according to preliminary figures, up from 1,883 in the previous year, spokesman Jindrich Lnenicka said.He said about 80 percent of the company's buses were exported, with France -- where sales reached more than 1,000 -- being the busmaker's most important market, Lnenicka said.Final 2006 figures will not be available until March, he said.The company, until last year known as Karosa AS, is owned by Italy's Fiat SpA through its trucks business Iveco.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
