IBM, Microtune modify chip-making deal |

NEW YORK (AFX) - Microtune Inc., which designs semiconductors, and International Business Machines Corp. have agreed to modify their chip manufacturing agreement, according to a federal filing.The Plano, Texas-based company, in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, said it and IBM have entered into a fifth amended and restated semiconductor custom manufacturing 'attachment' to an agreement that was signed June 13, 200.The attachment modified the agreement's pricing and other contractual terms. Details were not revealed but the 8-K filing said IBM has no obligation to supply products to Microtune and Microtune has no obligation to buy products from IBM 'for any specific period or in any specific quantity, except as is set forth and agreed upon by the parties in a particular purchase order.'Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
