LILLE (AFX) - Eurotunnel SA signed a deal on pay with unions representing its French staff early this evening, bringing an end to strike action which began yesterday and had disrupted traffic through the tunnel, sources said. The deal, agreed to by all unions present, will result in an annual pay hike of 2.25 pct and other performance-related bonuses, a representative of the CGT-Eurotunnel union said. This compares with the unions' earlier demand for a 3 pct pay rise.newsdesk@afxnews.comafp/abrCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
