PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Canal Plus chief executive Bertrand Meheut said TF1 and M6, which respectively hold 10 pct and 5 pct of the group's capital, may sell their stakes in the next three years, while Vivendi 'is ready to consider taking 100 pct if the other partners pull out.'Speaking in an interview with Le Figaro, Meheut said Lagardere, which currently holds 20 pct of Canal Plus France, also has an option to increase this stake to 34 pct or to withdraw from the group's capital, and 'is free to do as it pleases.'However, if all the groups' partners withdraw, Meheut said Vivendi would then consider acquiring a 100 pct stake in the pay-TV channel, 'as it believes Canal Plus has very strong growth prospects.'vicky.buffery@thomson.comvb/rfwCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
