IEA trims 2007 global oil demand forecast citing weather-related demand weakness

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - The International Energy Agency revised its

2007 global oil product demand forecast down slightly, citing continued

weather-related demand weakness in industrialised countries of the OECD.

Aker Kvaerner wins 400 mln nkr Statoil 2-yr contract extension

OSLO (Thomson Financial) - Engineering company Aker Kvaerner said it has won

a two year extension of an existing well service contract with Norwegian oil

producer Statoil worth 400 mln nkr.

Gulf Resources to buy bromine ops in China for 5.1 mln usd

BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - Gulf Resources Inc (BULLETIN BOARD: GUFR) said it has

signed a deal through wholly-owned unit Shuoguang City Haoyuan Chemical Co Ltd

(SCHC) to buy all of the bromine-producing assets of Shouguang City Qinshuibo

Area for around 5.1 mln usd.

Skanska wins 535 mln skr Brazil propane plant order from Petrobras

STOCKHOLM (Thomson Financial) - Skanska AB said it has won an order worth

535 mln skr (76.3 mln usd) from Petrobras, to build a propane production unit at

the Presidente Getulio Vargas Refinery (REPAR) in Brazil.

Gujarat Petroleum to re-invite bids for Krishna-Godavari basin - report

MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - Gujarat State Petroleum Corp (GSPC), which had

shortlisted BP, BG Group, Chevron Group and ENI for a 30 pct stake in the

Krishna Godavari basin, has decided to re-invite bids from the other 12

companies that had cleared technical screening, the Times of India reported.

Madrid shares TFN at a glance outlook

MADRID (Thomson Financial) - Shares are expected to open lower ahead of the

ECB meeting today and following overnight losses on Wall Street caused by a rise

in oil prices on lower-than-expected US gasoline inventories, dealers said.
