(Updating with deadline for tender, rival bidders, comments by Vienna Airport spokesman, analyst)VIENNA (Thomson Financial) - Flughafen Wien AG (Vienna Airport) said it is bidding for the concession to operate Antalya airport together with its Turkish partner Celebi Hava Servisi. The concession, to run the airport's three terminals for 17 years, will be awarded through a tender by the Turkish General Directorate of State Airports Authority. The deadline to submit quotations for the tender ends today.Flughafen Wien faces rival bids by Fraport AG, which currently operates one of Antalya's terminals, and TAV Holding, which operates Istanbul airport. If the bid is successful, Vienna Airport and Celebi Hava Servisi intend to form a consortium in which Vienna Airport will hold 51 pct, a spokesman at Vienna Airport said, declining to give further financial details.'It is too early to judge this investment by Vienna Airport as no financial information has been provided so far,' said Markus Hesse, an analyst at Sal. Oppenheim.'However, the chance of Flughafen Wien winning the tender also depends on the strength of its relations within the market,' he added.andreas.vogler@thomson.comav/jlw/av/cmlCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
