General Dynamics wins Navy deal |

FALLS CHURCH, Va. (AP) - The U.S. Navy granted defense contractor General Dynamics Corp. subsidiary Bath Iron Works a $197 million contract modification for continued work on a new class of destroyers, the company said Tuesday.The work will include material procurement and preproduction planning for the new DDG 1000 Zumwalt Class of destroyers. The contract was originally awarded in August 2006.General Dynamics had revenue of $24.1 billion in 2006.Shares of General Dynamics fell 86 cents to $79.45 in midday trading.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
