Allied Waste gets Heinz Field contract |

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Allied Waste Industries Inc. said late Wednesday it received a contract to haul garbage from Heinz Field, home to the Pittsburgh Steelers and University of Pittsburgh football teams.As part of the deal with PSSI Stadium Corp., the waste services company will become an advertiser at the 65,000-seat stadium.Financial terms of the contract, which runs through 2014, were not disclosed.Allied will evaluate how much waste at the stadium can be recycled.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
