NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Embraer Tuesday said its third-quarter firm order backlog for the commercial aviation, executive aviation, and defense and government segments rose by $1.6 billion to $17.2 billion.During the quarter, the company delivered a total of 47 jets and expects to deliver a total of 165 to 170 jets in 2007.The company also signed a contract for the sale of 20 E-Jets to Air France/KLM group in Europe.Shares of Embraer rose 4.6% to $48.15.Christie Rizkcr/jwCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
