LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Dwyka Resources Ltd said it has commenced drilling at the Kobolondo, Daisy and Lufafa deposits of its 435-square kilometre SwaziGold project near the Swaziland/South Africa border. The nickel and gold explorer said completion of drilling is currently expected in February 2008, with results to be reported thereafter.A drilling contract has been signed with Diabor (Pty) Ltd of Pretoria, South Africa, which has initiated drilling with a small diamond drilling rig, Dwyka said.Talks are currently underway with contractors to mobilise a larger drilling-rig, capable of drilling deeper drill-holes, in early 2008, the company added.Earlier this month, Dwyka said significant gold mineralisation has been confirmed at the Kobolondo prospect and that the channel sampling at Lufafa had returned encouraging results. The company had also said that the analysis of previously unreleased drilling data at the Daisy prospect indicated a high-grade ore shoot plunging north east.TFN.newsdesk@thomson.comkal/raCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
