PARIS (AFX) - China plans to award Areva half of a 5.3 bln eur contract initially awarded to Toshiba Corp unit Westinghouse, L'Agefi daily reported, without naming its sources.The contract with Westinghouse is for the construction of four nuclear power reactors.A source close to the matter told Agence France-Presse earlier this month that Areva is in 'advanced discussions' to sign a deal to supply two third generation reactors in China.Andrew.Newby@Thomson.comanCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
