LISBON (Thomson Financial) - Mota Engil SGPS affiliate Martifer has won a 50 mln eur contract to supply 70,000 tonnes of biodiesel to OMV AG's Romanian unit Petrom over the next two years, Jornal de Negocios reported citing the Portuguese group's chairman Carlos Martins.According to the report, Martifer's deal with Petrom guarantees a buyer for a third of the expected output from its Romanian refinery in 2007 and half of the output estimated in 2008.Martifer has agreed to supply Petrom with 20,000 tonnes of the biodiesel in 2007 and 50,000 tonnes in 2008 from its plant located in Northern Romania, which is expected to come on stream before the second half of this year.Marrtifer's plant is expected to post annual sales of about 70 mln eur when it is fully operational, the newspaper said.jonathan.gleave@thomson.comjg/anCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
